❓ Dear Tom, can you tell us more about the new electric truck at GOCELO Nijmegen?

Tom Willems: We are very proud to present our new large electric truck. With this truck we operate in various GOCELO sectors. With an impressive range of 350 kilometres we can manage nation-wide activities.

❓ What prompted GOCELO Nijmegen to invest in the new electric truck?

Tom Willems: With the upcoming Zero-Emission zones in all large cities in the Netherlands we are ahead of the rest of the market. We address customer needs while considering national and regional zero-emission legislation.

❓ Can you describe the specific benefits this new electric truck brings to your logistics operations?

Tom Willems: With our electric truck, we can better serve our customers. Additionally, the truck is clean and silent, which has a positive impact on the climate and the environment. The truck requires less maintenance, and the use of electricity also creates a positive business case for the company.

❓ Can you share any challenges or successes you’ve experienced so far with the new electric truck?

Tom Willems: The truck is relatively new, but every day we receive positive feedback from customers and others who are very interested in the truck. Additionally, the truck has been showcased at various open days where it attracts a lot of attention

❓ How do you see the role of electric vehicles evolving in GOCELO’s broader logistics strategy over the next few years?

Tom Willems: For our Dutch market, I see a shift towards zero-emission. Whether it’s electric or hydrogen doesn’t matter. Our customers are often located in urban areas where delivering zero-emission solutions is becoming essential.
